Rosacea sufferers have highly sensitive skin so it is important to take all possible measures to ensure that the skin is kept in the best condition possible.
Your rosacea skin can benefit from natural remedies and treatments. Here are some tips for you:
- Drink apple juice everyday. People have reported some benefits to doing this and it certainly won’t harm you. Be sure to purchase only the brands which are very low in added sugar and ideally, without preservatives.
- Use a mild cleanser such as Cetaphil to clean morning and night. You do not want to be using abrasive cleansers or those overly concentrated with strong chemicals as many supermarket brands are. Wash three times daily if your skin is particularly oily.
- Avoid chocolate, tomatoes and fried foods. It goes without saying that these can be major rosacea triggers so just go without them. It’s worth it for the benefits!
- Eat berries which are high in antioxidants. Things like blueberries, strawberries and blackberries are especially great for skin.
- Eat fish rich in omega 3 3-4 times per week, including canned tuna and salmon as well as fresh fish. These oils will really help the skin; I certainly notice the difference when I consume fish regularly.
- Avoid alcohol. Again, common sense but it does need to be stated.
- Eat leafy and dark green vegetables. Not only are these great for health but they are full of beneficial skin vitamins.
These are just a few skin care tips for rosacea sufferers. I truly hope they help you!
